Frequently asked

Does Grit Ladder need an internet connection?

No. The app is fully offline — every barrel, find, and batch you log is saved only on your device.

Why does it warn me when I mix rocks?

Stones of very different Mohs hardness wear at different rates in the same barrel. The app flags a load when the spread is wide enough to risk flat spots or a poor polish on the softer stones.

How do I change a barrel's size or stage?

Open the barrel from the Barrels tab and use the stage screen — a running batch can be edited there until you move it up a rung.

Can I recover a batch I deleted?

Deleted barrels and finds can't be restored, since nothing is stored outside your device. Use the Finished jar gallery to look back at completed batches before removing anything.
